The Initial Inspection process is for any new machinery(s) without an existing Certificate of Fitness (CF) and PMA/PMD/PMT registration number.
PMA
Lifting and Hoisting Machine
PMD
Boilers
PMT
Pressure Vessels
The CF Renewal (Regular) Inspection is applicable for the following scenarios:
i.
Expiring or Expired CF
For existing PMA/PMD/PMT machinery where the Certificate of Fitness (CF) is about to expire or has already expired.
ii.
Disassembled for Repair (No Relocation)
For machinery where the CF has become void due to disassembly during repairs, without any relocation.
iii.
Relocated Machinery (PTI Required)
For machinery where the CF has become void due to physical relocation (e.g., tower crane relocation), which requires a new Permission-To-Install (PTI) from DOSH.
The Transfer Of Ownership (TOO) function allows the transfer of registered machineries between two different owners in MyInspector. This function is not available for machinery(s) without a PMA/PMD/PMT number or for machinery marked as "Decommissioned".
This process is for notifying MyInspector when any certificated machinery has been dismantled for repairs or has already been repaired.
1.
Owner/Operator Obligation
It is the duty of certificated machinery owners or operators to notify DOSH and update MyInspector for any machinery that will undergo or has undergone repair work.
(Refer to: Occupational Safety and Health (Plant Requiring Certificate of Fitness) Regulations 2024, Part IV – Miscellaneous, Repairs, Clause 9(1))
2.
Certificate of Fitness (CF) Status
The Certificate of Fitness (CF) becomes void for any machinery that has been repaired, unless a special exemption is granted by DOSH.
(Refer to: Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022 [Act A1648], Clause 27D(8))
Change machinery location is the process of updating a machinery's existing location to a new one. This may void your existing Certificate of Fitness (CF) as it involves dismantling of the machinery and a new Permission-To-Install (PTI) from DOSH is required (see Occupational Safety And Health (Amendment) Act 2022 (Act A1648) Clause 27D (8)).
